Your Support
Countryside Revitalization
We maintain and renovate our local 800 year old shrine, and restore historic akiyas. We are dedicated to building a vibrant community by bringing steady employment for young people and breathing new life into a community once on the verge of disappearing.
Organic Farming
Less than 2% of Japanese tea is farmed organically. Organic farming requires a higher amount of investment and time, but we believe it produces the most delicious tea.
New Tree Planting
We've revived ~70% of the local Yubune farmland by succeeding and reclaiming abandoned fields. Yearly, we plant new tea tree seedlings to expand our organic farm.
Community Building
We are dedicated to creating a strong local economy, empowering our farmers and rejuvenating our hometown from the ground up. We work with local elders to support traditional skills, and market local Japanese artists' work.
How we stay close to you
Biannual Live Tastings
Twice a year, hop online with our team. We will brew your exclusive teas together, walking you through the process of making them, answer questions, and tell you current updates on the farm.
In-Person Benefits
Come visit Wazuka. Members receive a 20% discount on bookings at our tea farm Bed & Breakfast and 10% off in-store purchases during our tea farm tour.
Hakusan Shrine Ema
Once you complete a full year as a Tea Chronicles member, we hang a traditional wooden Ema plaque bearing your name at our guardian shrine. Hung permanently at our local Hakusan shrine in Yubune, Wazuka, it ties your personal support directly to the place you are fostering, and the village we call home.
Support d:matcha
Your seasonal pledge backs real sustainable tea farming and guarantees your direct allocation of our limited small-batch teas.
